The lower level of the home is a true rustic retreat. The large entertainment and bookshelf unit shown above uses rustic alder in the midtoned Nutmeg stain. Note how the botanical laminate panels appear again in this handsome and useful design. The compact bar shown above right is both inviting and highly functional, and makes good use of Showplace cabinets and components. Rustic alder beaded panels were used to create the wainscotting that rings the room, shown at right. Note the variable knots that are a characteristic of rustic alder.
